Afterglow

The wedding was awesome, now I am sitting here writing thank you notes… Except how do you thank someone for a gift when you aren’t sure what it is?
A) “Thanks for that awesome thing you gave me.”
B) “Thank you for the gift.” (Actually my family had a good laugh over a thank you note my parents received a few years ago using those very words.)
C) “I love that metal thing but give me a call when you get a minute and let me know what it is, please.”
D) “Thank you for the creamer.” God, please let it be a creamer.
I’m going with D…

Good luck with that. We had three gifts that the tag fell off of and 4 atendees whose gifts were unaccounted for. So, of course, we sent all four thank yous (using the “thank you for the gift”) inevitably making one of them feel guilty since they didn’t get us one. Congratulations! So glad it was a success!Fingers crossed for creamer….

Just wait ’til you hear through the grapevine that you never sent a thank-you for a gift that you most certainly did send a thank-you for! Apparently mailing a stack of thank-yous (or wedding invitations, for that matter) increases the odds that one or more will go astray. Good luck, and enjoy the metal thing!!
