I’m going to the BlogHer conference. I leave for Chicago tomorrow. I should be packing right now but instead I’m doing this… If you see me there, and you recognize me from here could you please say hi to me? Because I know a few people who are going, but not super well and I don’t have this band of 12 people who are constantly commenting on my blog and I am constantly commenting on their blogs, so we are like long lost blog sisters finally meeting for the first time like in those emotional reunions on Oprah.
Which is obviously fine, I knew this when I registered. And I don’t mind being alone. Actually I like it. Do you have any idea how much I looking forward to using the bathroom alone, sitting on an airplane alone, and oh my god, using the airplane bathroom alone? But the alone-ness can feel lonely when you’re in a group of thousands of people. If you know me, you might be surprised that I don’t love large groups of people. But it’s true. While I love being around people, at big parties, I’d rather hide out and just talk to two or three other people. And by hide out I mean stand in the kitchen within six inches of the desserts.
So don’t be shy about coming up to me at BlogHer. I’m going to make it real easy for you so it’s not awkward when you’re wondering, “Is that her? Maybe it’s a look-a-like. It’s probably not her.” So you’ll recognize me and because I haven’t done a fashion show since 2011, here’s all the outfits you might see me in at the conference.
